ABOUT
---

Born Yosune Yáñez in Mexico City, NUNNE is a musician/sound engineer who recently relocated to Montreal to broaden her artistic palette and knowledge in the international music industry. With over 10 years of experience as a musician, NUNNE has had the opportunity to tour around Mexico and the U.S to perform in important venues such as Lollapalooza Chicago, Foro Indie Rocks, World Cafe Live and Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli, amongst others. Having had these eye opening experiences have brought NUNNE to pursue an audio engineering career. In her short time in Montreal, her skills have led her to work for important clients like Universal Music Group and the Lamoureux brothers, Grammy and Emmy winners.

After having had the opportunity to grow as a musician and engineer abroad, NUNNE realized how much she missed her Latin roots. Especially after having realized how limited is the perception of latin music nowadays. That being said, she set herself the goal to create a music that would help share the diversity and beauty of latin music with other people, as well as to reconnect with her own roots.

Shortly after the release of her first album, "La Selenita", NUNNE's music has been recognized and featured in important magazines and news papers like Rolling Stone en Español, AP News, Yahoo!, La Banda Elastica, MSN, La Vanguardia, amongst others. NUNNE is planning a local tour to promote "La Selenita" very soon. Stay tuned for updates.
